Latinx Read-In on the Plaza

Event details Date: Thursday, October 15, 2026 Time: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Location: Bryan Center Plaza Type: Global Duke About this event Join us to celebrate authors of Latin American descent! Share a passage from a favorite author or read from preselected material. In celebration of Latinx Heritage Month, the Writing and Rhetoric Program and Duke University Libraries are planning a Latinx Read-In event to be held on campus. This event is inspired by the African American Read-In events organized by the National Council of Teachers of English since 1990. If you'd like to be a reader, you can choose fiction, non-fiction, speeches, poems, or other texts. We will also have texts available to read at the event, so don't feel pressure to bring a reading. If you would like to just come and listen, please stop by! (Rain location: Bostock Library Room 127) Official event details: https://duke.libcal.com/event/17712210
