Help / FAQ

Quick answers for students using EduHookup to browse posts, create posts, search by location, and connect around campus.

What is EduHookup?

EduHookup is a student-focused posting and discovery platform for campus connections, including friends, dating, study buddies, events, activity partners, books, clubs, roommates, meetups, and local college life.

Do I have to post under a category?

Yes. Categories help other students understand what you are looking for and make browsing much cleaner.

Can I browse by state or college?

Yes. EduHookup supports location-aware browsing, state pages, college-focused discovery, and category browsing so students can narrow down what they want.

Why do some categories ask for age ranges?

Only personal-style categories such as Dating and Friends may use age ranges. Non-personal categories like events, study buddy, activity partner, roommate/social, clubs/meetups, and missed connections should not require age ranges.

How do I stay safe?

Meet in public first, protect personal information, avoid suspicious payment requests, and stop communicating with anyone who pressures you or makes you uncomfortable.
