About this event
About CECO
The Conductive Education Center of Orlando (CECO) is a nonprofit organization that provides Conductive Education services to children and adults with motor and cognitive disabilities, including cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions. Our programs focus on helping participants develop functional skills, independence, and confidence through structured movement-based learning led by trained conductors and assistants.
What to Expect During Your Shadowing Visit
During your visit, you will have the opportunity to:
Observe Conductive Education in action within our classrooms and programs
See how conductors and assistants support participants with physical exercises, mobility, daily living skills, and cognitive development
Learn how structured routines and task series help participants build independence
Observe how staff collaborate to support each participant's individual goals
Shadowing at CECO is primarily an observation experience, allowing you to see how our programs operate and how our team supports participants throughout the day.
Following your shadowing experience, we would be happy to discuss internship opportunities at CECO for students who are interested in gaining more hands-on experience and learning more about Conductive Education.
