Whether you are managing a classroom, advising students, processing paperwork, or running a department, this sandbox is a space for all of us to figure it out together. This isn't a lecture. It's a true working lunch where faculty and staff from every department can bring their real, messy, day-to-day challenges and discuss the ways that AI has changed it while brainstorming workable solutions. We will open up the tools, share different perspectives from across campus, and collaborate in real-time to make our workloads lighter. Bring your lunch, your laptop, and your unique campus perspective! We will explore a variety of AI tools, from institutionally supported platforms such as BoodleBox to everyday AI assistants like Microsoft Copilot and other emerging technologies. Together, we will discuss practical ways these tools can help faculty and staff save time, streamline workflows, improve communication, enhance productivity, and reduce repetitive tasks. For faculty, we will also examine strategies for thoughtfully integrating AI into course design, assignments, and student learning experiences while promoting critical thinking, information literacy, and academic integrity. Whether you are completely new to AI or already experimenting with it, this sandbox is an opportunity to learn, share ideas, and discover solutions that work for your role on campus.
