About this event
Join us to learn about a new initiative that brings together faculty across the Biological, Physical, Social, Computer, and Engineering Sciences to build a collaborative STEM Community of Practice. The project leverages large-scale datasets to expand undergraduate research opportunities and strengthen students' skills in data analysis, scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and research ethics. Faculty participants will have opportunities to collaborate across disciplines, develop course-based research experiences, engage in professional development, share teaching and research practices, and contribute to a growing network dedicated to student success and innovation in STEM education. This session will introduce the goals of the grant, opportunities for faculty involvement, and the vision for creating a sustainable community that advances both teaching and research at Seminole State College.
Hosted by HIPs Ambassador and 2026 Endowed Teaching Chair, Maya Byfield
