Below are two time periods we need student assistance in. You are welcome to attend as long as you want and help as long or as little as you want. We appreciate any time you provide us. Please send your confirmation and which term you're interested in to my email: demeterd@seminolestate.edu Term A: Before the event- decorating, set up, etc Time: 10 am to 4 pm (you are not required to attend the whole time and can come by between the hours of 10 am and 3 pm) Details: This term is for those who would like to come early to help setup for the event. If you are working with one of the faculty members (chemistry, physics, etc), please contact your professor and find out exactly when they want you to be there. We will have the indoor spaces set up prior to the start of the day, so your role is to help faculty members set up their activity. We will also be decorating the building. If you have any decorations you would like to bring, we would love to feature them. I would like to have ALL areas of the event set up NO LATER THAN 4 pm . If you suspect you will be late or not going to start on time at 5 pm, please let me know and I will make sure the space is set up as much as possible before you arrive. If you need any specific requirements for your setup, please contact ASAP so we can get this all prepared by Saturday. Term B: After- Breakdown, clean up Time: 8 pm to onward Details: We will be starting to break down the indoor activities in the building and cleaning up the classrooms. We will also be disposing of trash and other stuff left inside the classrooms. At this time, all indoor activities will end, and everyone will go to the star party area. What is the Spooky Star Party? Join the Emil Buehler Planetarium at Seminole State College for an evening of celestial observation, spooky crafts, hair-raising science activities, and of course...candy! We encourage everyone to be festive and to dress up in their Halloween best. The star party and science activities are FREE to attend, and all are welcome!
