Spooktacular Guided Halloween Hike

Event details Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026 Time: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Location: Spring Hammock Preserve About this event Join the environmental club this Halloween for a relaxing hike in the morning to chill out before all the fun on Halloween night. This hike is very close to the Sanford campus so if you have been wanting to attend an event but couldn't make it to Oviedo, now is a great time! We will be doing a guided hike for the Archery Club, but everyone is welcome as well, so feel free to join even if you aren't part of our club or the Archery Club. The club will be giving facts and knowledge about the local ecosystem and its inhabitants, like local plant and animal life during the hike. The hike is approximately 2-3 Miles round trip and possibly more if everyone present wishes to see more, but the easiest trail is a 2-3 mile round trip on a paved walkway to the boardwalk that is fully accessible; there are some dirt trails with easy paths and no major obstacles so all parts of the preserve are beginner-friendly. The easier the hike, the less wildlife we may get to see, so come prepared with lots of water and bug spray so we can see some amazing Florida wildlife. Due to this being off campus, off-campus paperwork is needed from you, so please RSVP as soon as possible so we can send those documents out to reduce paper waste from printing. These are required every time an event is off campus, so if you filled it out before, it isn't valid again. Please only RSVP if you actually are going so we don't unnecessarily message you trying to find out if you completed all the required documents.
