Webinar Wednesday: The 60-Minute Pivot (AFC)

Event details Date: Wednesday, September 9, 2026 Time: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM About this event AFC Webinar Wednesday: The 60-Minute Pivot Day/Date/Time : Wednesday, September 9, 2026, 11 :00 am - 12 :00 pm ET Description: Most professionals didn't get into education because it was the safe choice. They got in because something inside them said this matters. But somewhere between the demands, the pressure, and the pace of it all, that something can get quiet. This 60-minute experience uses the Vision Mapping Tree - the framework at the heart of The Vision Engine - to help professionals reconnect with their North Star. Participants will work through all five pillars of life vision - Faith, Family, Fitness, Finance, and Fun - to write a clear, anchored vision for the life they are building, identify the values they stand on, and define the one daily habit in each area that moves the needle. This is not a lecture. It is a live working session. You will leave with something written down that belongs to you. About the speaker: Willie Barnes Jr. is the author of The Vision Engine: A Movement to Engineer a Life of Purpose, Passion, and Authority and the founder of The Vision Engine LLC, a student persistence and vision-mapping movement whose mission is to empower learners to show up with purpose, persist through adversity, and engineer the life they were created to live. Willie's story began in a hotel room - his family, five kids, and everything they owned between a trunk and a storage unit. Each morning, he jogged to shake off the nerves, journaled, practiced gratitude, and built a vision. That process, before it had a name, became The Vision Engine. It carried him from grad school dropout to MBA, doctoral learner in Organizational Leadership, and founder of a movement now reaching the Florida College System. As someone who stopped out of school himself, Willie knows that students don't leave because they're incapable. They leave because they lose their why. The Vision Engine gives them their why back - and equips the professionals who serve them with the same clarity. Clarity Empowers Persistence. This session takes place on Zoom.
