About this event
Join the Hamilton School for Classical and Civic Education for "Antebellum Originalism: The Invention of a Proslavery Constitution," featuring Dr. Sean Wilentz, the George Henry Davis 1886 Professor of American History at Princeton University.
A leading scholar of American political and social history, Wilentz has written extensively on slavery, antislavery politics and the U.S. Constitution. His award-winning scholarship examines the complex relationship between slavery and the nation's founding and the constitutional debates that shaped the United States in the decades leading to the Civil War.
