She earned her Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Genetics and Biotechnology from Michigan State University, where she also completed her postdoctoral training. Since 2020, her research focused on the discovery and characterization of plant-derived bio-active compounds with therapeutic potential, elucidation of biosynthetic pathways, and development of biotechnology approaches to engineer plant metabolism. By integrating plant genetics, biochemistry, and molecular biotechnology, her research advances the understanding of plant natural product biosynthesis and supports the sustainable production of medicinal and specialty crops. Dr. Nadakuduti has served in leadership roles within professional societies including Phytochemical Society of North America and on journal editorial boards. She is a recipient of the Arthur C. Neish Young Investigator Award from the Phytochemical Society of North America in recognition of research excellence in phytochemistry.
