About this event
When embarking on a digital humanities project, it is important to consider legal and ethical factors that might impact the collections and data you use and how you choose to share your original work. Whether you are planning a large-scale analysis of thousands of newspapers, or curating a small-scale digital exhibit, similar questions might arise. This workshop will cover the foundations of copyright law and real-world examples of the ways it applies to digital scholarship, as well as related ethical issues in repurposing and adapting what we find in archives and online.
