Gilman Scholarship Writing Workshop

Event details Date: Wednesday, September 23, 2026 Time: 4:00 PM Location: UF International Center, Hub Type: Exhibits / Arts Tags: Student Engagement, Workshops & Seminars About this event Are you applying to the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship for an upcoming study abroad? At this session, our team of Study Abroad Advisors and Peer Advisors will give you guidance and advice for writing the best application essays possible, and even review your drafts for you! This interactive session works best if you bring a copy (or at minimum, outline) of your scholarship essays with you. With active participation from all attendees (but usually a smaller group), you will get 1-on-1 time with Advisors and peers who will give you constructive feedback on your essays to make them the best and most competitive they can possibly be.
