Honors Curiosity Collective: Beatboxing 101 - Your Mouth Is a Drum Machine

Event details Date: Thursday, October 1, 2026 Time: 4:05 PM Location: Honors Village Building 2, Maker Studio Type: Arts / Performance About this event No musical experience needed, just a voice and a willingness to sound a little ridiculous. In this hands-on session, you'll learn the three foundational beatbox sounds (the kick drum, hi-hat, and snare), then combine them into your first basic beat. From there, we'll build on rhythm and breath control and layer in a few extra sounds to make your beats come alive. By the end, everyone will be able to perform a simple groove, and we'll close out with a group jam where the whole room becomes one big beat. Come curious, leave making noise.
