Event details Date: Tuesday, September 1, 2026 Time: 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM Location: 100 Genetics & Plant Biology Building Type: Lecture / Workshop About this event In this presentation, we will explore how recent discoveries from the Lewis Lab are overturning longstanding dogmas in mitochondrial biology and revealing mitochondria as diverse organelles that coexist in highly specialized forms within a single cell. This emerging view challenges traditional models of mitochondrial function and offers new insights into fundamental principles of cell biology. This seminar is partially sponsored by NIH Division(s): Division of Cell Biology, Development & Physiology Official event details: https://events.berkeley.edu/mcb/event/322875-samantha-lewis-department-of-molecular-and-cell
