Buffler Emeriti Lounge Type: Performing Arts About this event Join us for StoryJAM, our first ever live storytelling event! Join us for an evening of true stories that explore the many ways change shapes our lives, our communities, and our health. Through the theme “Change,” we will explore stories of health, healing, community, and transformation. Perhaps your story is about a turning point that shifted your perspective on public health, a moment that challenged you, inspired you, or transformed the way you understood yourself, someone else, or your community. Perhaps it was a change in health, family, identity, work, or belonging—or a small moment that unexpectedly changed everything. While naturally inviting stories about community, justice, growth, and transformation, “Change” also reflects the heart of public health, that a meaningful change often begins with one person’s story. The StoryJAM will include a mini storytelling workshop to bring our stories of change to the surface. Afterward, all are welcome to sign up to share a 5-minute story onstage (optional) and we will randomly draw as many names as time allows.
