Equity Exchange: Doing Less with Less

Event details Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2026 Time: 12:00 AM to 1:30 PM Location: Price Center - Cross-Cultural Center - 3151 Matthews Lane, La Jolla, CA 92093 Type: Lecture / Workshop Campus area: University Center Audience: Staff and Faculty About this event You’ve probably been told to “Do More with Less or Do Less Better” — and after the pandemic, mass resignations, ongoing layoffs and hiring freezes, that advice has started to feel less like a pep talk and more like a warning. This discussion is a space to name the feelings this stirs up and practice accountability for letting go of the extra things that society's ideal worker norms insist we need to do to be seen as competent professionals. Come share, listen, and explore what “doing less with less” can look like when we choose sustainability over self-sacrifice.
