Blending reggae, cumbia, hip-hop, and pre-Hispanic sounds, his music is explosive, rhythmic, and rooted in something deeper—connecting ancestral traditions with modern expression. Fronted by Juan Nativo, the band delivers a show shaped by years of street performance, where every note had to earn its place. That raw, real connection still drives the experience today. Backed by a dynamic lineup—including violinist Nay Roze and drummer Jennie “La Bestia” Delgado—the sound is rich, layered, and makes it impossible to stand still. But it’s more than just music. Doctor Nativo’s mission is about consciousness, resistance, and community—wrapped in a vibrant, danceable atmosphere. Doctor Nativo hits you, moves you, and stays with you long after they’re done playing. Learn more about Dr. Nativo (Stage 5) Official event details: https://calendars.illinois.edu/detail/7/33559504
