Named in honor of The Illiac Suite, which is widely known as the first piece of music composition created by an electronic computer, the event itself first took place in 2014 in Downtown Urbana as a one day music festival. Now, it returns to Hessel Park, presenting Sinfonia da Camera’s first-ever outdoor performance. The idea is to use the name to dream up different engagements rooted in musical offerings designed to both delight and challenge those who wish to attend. The goal is for it to continue with greater frequency into the future, and we hope you will join us!
