Drawing on administrative records covering more than 4.5 million non-prisoner federal civil court cases from FY2005-FY2026 and 46 million PACER docket entries matched to those cases, his paper documents three sets of findings how self-represented cases have risen dramatically to burden federal district courts. His paper also finds that self-represented cases have risen from virtually zero pre-AI age to 18% in 2026. Official event details: https://calendar.usc.edu/event/pipe-workshop-joshua-levy
