EduHookup works best when users post clearly, respect boundaries, represent themselves honestly, and use the platform for legitimate campus connections and opportunities.
Respect boundaries
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, manipulate, discriminate against, or pressure anyone to respond, meet, pay, or continue communicating.
Protect the community
Report scams, exploitation, threats, fake accounts, unsafe activity, prohibited sales, or attempts to evade platform rules.
General standards
Content and conduct that are not allowed
Do not post or engage in scams, spam, fake identities, impersonation, threats, harassment, hate, stalking, exploitation, coercion, stolen property, prohibited sales, financial schemes, academic fraud, illegal activity, or content designed to deceive or harm other users.
Do not use social, dating, friendship, housing, employment, tutoring, event, study, or marketplace categories to collect private information, pressure another person, or disguise prohibited activity.
No commercial sexual or romantic services
EduHookup may not be used to offer, request, advertise, purchase, sell, arrange, promote, recruit for, or facilitate prostitution, escort services, commercial sexual services, compensated dating, or sexual or romantic activity exchanged for money, gifts, housing, tuition, transportation, employment, substances, or anything else of value.
This prohibition includes coded wording, external links, off-platform arrangements, third-party advertisements, agency or manager activity, recruitment, and attempts to disguise prohibited services as dating, employment, housing, modeling, massage, tutoring, or another category.
No trafficking or exploitation
Human trafficking, sexual exploitation, coercion, grooming, threats, control of another person, or recruitment for exploitative activity is strictly prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities when required or appropriate.
Category quality matters
Dating and friendship posts should be honest and respectful. Study posts should concern legitimate academic collaboration. Event posts should clearly explain what, where, and when. Housing, job, internship, tutor, employer, service, and marketplace posts should accurately describe the opportunity, item, requirements, compensation, and relevant conditions.
Reports and platform moderation
EduHookup uses user reports, technical systems, and platform moderators to identify possible violations. We may remove content, limit features, issue warnings, restrict visibility, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve relevant records, and take other reasonable enforcement action.
Private messages are not intended for routine moderator browsing. Reported messages may be reviewed when necessary to investigate abuse, threats, exploitation, prohibited commercial activity, platform misuse, or legal obligations.
EduHookup may later allow trusted student or campus moderators to help manage assigned college communities or categories. Community moderators would operate under EduHookup's sitewide rules and oversight. EduHookup would retain final authority over account suspensions, appeals, trafficking, exploitation, legal compliance, and sitewide enforcement.
